Sorry to ask...VBScript beginner question

Well, I may be starting a job which prevents me from avoiding VB any longer. Such is life. I really need to start learning VBScript - more from a system admin's perspective (running scripts through the Windows Scripting Host) than a web developer's.

Any ideas for good starting points? A sticky in here suggesting some would be great; I was actually hoping to find one here rather than have to post this question.

Thanks a lot, and apologies for the newbie question.

I can't help you with VBScript, but I can wish you good luck with your new job. Have fun, mate.

I did a bit of VBScripting to interact with an Active Directory. I may be able to help with specific questions that you may encounter.

Thanks for the help, folks. I've been looking at some of the tutorials on the first page or two of Google, and it's all coming flooding back; I used to do a bit of programming in BBC Basic and QBASIC and have scripted for Windows with JScript, so I needn't have worried really - it's just a matter of getting the two to meet in the middle.

I downloaded the Windows Scripting Host stuff from MS (documentation, etc.) I've only used it once, just from curiosity, but what I did was easy enough. You can use JS as well as VB. PerlScript would be nice .
