Image Viewer (Urgent Bèta testing)

This nice application is almost the same as the viewer used in Windows XP. But there will be more possible, like selecting the edit program, change the language, ... and much more. It also works on older systems that have the .NET Framework installed.

Please test this application and report any bugs to me. If you miss something in the Image Viewer, please report, so we can add your feature...

There's not yet an install included but you can either just start the Image Viewer and then open an image file or right click an image and open it with the Image Viewer. Later on, image extensions will be associated with the Image Viewer.

Bèta download: http://users.skynet.be/sonix/imagevi...mageviewer.zip
Build With: Visual Basic .NET 2003

Welcome to the forums. I'd like to help you out on the review of your program, but I rather not run a exe posted on a forum... I will however, compile the code and produce an exe that I know to be safe. If this is not acceptable, perhaps there is someone here to be more willing to run a random exe.

Well i could give you the code but then you'll miss all the image files and .conf files. Anyway. here you have the béta code http://users.skynet.be/sonix/imageviewer/code.zip

You need to put the icons folder,Image Viewer.exe.manifest and the Image Viewer.ico in the same folder as your compiled .exe The 3 things are in the imageviewer.zip and not included in the code.

!!!I hope my code will be respected and not used to reproduce!!!

Alright... I'll compile this when I get home as soon as time permits. No worries SoniX, I won't reverse engineer your code or use it for financial gain. I'll let you know how the review goes.

Nice program there, really nice work. One suggestion that is something that the windows image viewer doesnt have is maybe you could turn on an option that lets it go inside the subfolders for images as well, instead of only the folder your currently in.

Running an executable linked in a forum is exceedingly naive on the part of the sucker....ummmm, I mean tester. This is not intended as an insult, just as a guideline for future endeavors. You might also consider that "urgent" is in the eye of the beholder and is much less likely to be an appropriate adjective when your respondents are volunteers doing you a favor for the challenge and enjoyment, rather than a paycheck. Just some random, personal musings.
