I used to get ~500k/s when I lived on campus.
At home I can get around 130k/s from a good server, but usually around 60.

But it also depends on the server you're downloading from |

I get ~800 kbps when downloading from a fast enough server. Fluctuates a bit, but around there.

500 down. Varies widely depending upon server, time of day, and how many are simultaneously sharing the bandwidth available in the local infrastructure you're connected to. You can optimize your network settings for your particular type of connection.

Well if that's the case then this could explain the seemingly false advertisments. 4.0Mbps=4.0MegaBitsPerSecond ~450Kbps may be rated in bytes instead of bits. |
