I just saw that myself... thanks for the comment rijiru-chan... its name is Oswald (for those who keep up with the Kennedy assasination conspiracy. )

Ah... got it. On Slyck.com, someone has the same avi but with "Die Leechers!" at the bottom, so I see it way too often to be impressed.

Personally, avatars in general do not impress me. Mine simply presents a complex for people. A cat, with a rifle at a window... so I called it Oswald... surely people can see the comparison. lol At any rate, I think its funny as hell... therefore, I have it as my avatar.

It's damn funny - just seen it too many times for it to get a laugh out of me anymore. Still a great avi though.

gee, thanks for everything. i joined here because people think that i can't make it. i'm in college right now and i took up information technology. my parents wanted so much that i should take up nursing because it is "IN DEMAND" outside (blah) but i don't like nursing at all. they doubted about the course i'm taking up because i'll just end up as a loser. they think I.T. isn't that cool. you won't get anything from that course (that's what they say) and that made me cry. am i being emotional?

Obviously, your parents are stuck in the past. Computers and related technical fields run the world. By the way, IT professionals are in higher demand than medical professionals. So tell your parents to read the newspaper a bit more before they start criticizing your desires. Also, tell them that they have lived their lives and that you will live yours how you see fit. If they want to major in a liberal arts, tell them to go back to college and do so... and leave you the hell alone.

I know that they support all the way in my course but the hard part that hurt me most is that they doubted me. they keep on saying that nursing this and nursing that because they want to see me living happily. but i won't be really happy if i'm going to take up that course because that isn't my line. my country is well-known(they say) for nursing aids and domestic helpers. and another reason is that it is a hell lot of money on your pocket.

thank you for help. i'm happy now and i never regreted joining in this forum.

the other thing about nursing that sucks is the hours you will have to work for 10-20 years or more to get a good 9-5 job. my aunt worked for the same hospital for 20 years i believe and never got the hours she wanted and finally got hurt on the job and looked for a new nursing job where she finally got a office and 8-5 job where she is finally happy. but with IT you will normally get 9-5 right away but you have to add in that you might get called in to help late if something goes wrong but if you are into computers nursing just wouldnt be that much fun and there is just as much money to be made in computers i believe
