Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum. I am a 23 year old student working full time in the IT field. I got on here to learn/discuss programming. I am a novice programmer and haven't gotten too deeply involved in it until the past two or so years. I have some HTML knowledge, have dabbled in C++, used to use QBasic and some binary to control circuit boards when I was a kid. I am working on a website for my dad right now Chatham Enterprise.comIt is still under construction. I did all the graphics myself and used Visual Studio.net 2003 and some text editors to write it. I have been using computers since I knew how to read. Still have an old Apple II SE and grew up using both PC's and Mac's. Generally use a PC now, for obvious reasons, don't own a mac though I would like too. I am currently teaching myself Unix and would appreciate any help from UNIX users. I am proficient in DOS and batch files. I have built several computers gaming, surveillance, general application computers etc... Anyway I will cut my introduction short before it gets any longer. Hope to have some good discussions on here. Last edited by ║▓ßúdhαrlεy▓║; Jul 1st, 2005 at 9:52 AM. |

hey, welcome. Cool but wierd username!
Neat idea for the header of that website. One piece of advice though, u wanna tone down on the embossing of the side menu things (if ur gonna keep them) and the "authorised dealer" picture, too much emboss isn't very pro (i think the one around the drop-down is cool tho). One good idea would be too have a repeating background about 1-3 pixels in width and same height as the header (and same colour etc) and then asigning it to the table cell holding the header, then it would look like it expands and shrinks with the window! that is if u want to make the layout "liquid". Sorry, dont mean to come on too strongly like that with 2 paragraphs and stuff, but i cant help it. I really shud start using the "Hello, welcome, mate" way of doing this.

I prefer long welcome speeches myself as well, but I really can't be bothered right now. So here we go: welcome to the club, mate. And what's up with the characters either side of your main username?
