The Death of VB?
It took quite a bit of work (believe me, this was touch-and-go for a while) but I eventually managed to get the VB product manager, Jay Roxe, to answer a number of fairly tough questions about the end of the life of VB6 ( www.bitwisemag.com ). I really now want to open out this debate and get as much feedback as possible - so if anyone has any strong feelings about this, please let me know.
best wishes Huw

Great interview!
Surely it wouldn't take much effort and would make a lot of people happy if the ability to have unmanaged/non-CLR code though... |

According to Rory, most VB6 programs will work in VB .NET with minimal editing, so it seems there's still life in the ol' dog yet!
EDIT: I just read the interviews. Nice work, Huw. Perhaps it's not so easy after all... but hey, there's a reason I started avoiding VB like the plague. ![]() |

When Microsoft support for VB ends, fiery rocks of armageddon will rain down from the sky and Pizentios will be the first into the pit of darkness...
