Lookin' for a book...

I am going to be introducing myself to python for upcoming projects at work and am curious if anyone has any suggestions on a good book for reference.
I'm not looking for a 'learners guide' or any other such material, rather, a manual of sorts.
For instance, For C++: I used Bjarne's book, For C: I used several, K&R most recently, and Stevens' books for any application.
If anyone has a suggestion, I would appreciate it.
Thank you.

I'm not sure what exactly you are looking for, but this is pretty good: http://www.ibiblio.org/obp/thinkCSpy/

A lot of it is terribly drawn out and unecessary, I'd much rather have a condensed version with a better explanation on the return commands, but there it is.

Sorry, that's the most I can help.

Smile

If you just want a reference book, then try:

Python Pocket Reference, Third Edition
By Mark Lutz

Details at:

http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/pythonpr3

Mark Lutz has also published some other Python books with O'Reilly Publishers that are pretty good!

Also check this online reference:

I recommend Dive into Python, especially since you have a lot of programming experience. There is a free online version as well as paper one.

O'Reilly's "Learning Python" is the only book I have that is related to Python, so I'd be kinda biased.
