And if you don't play your cards right, its a good way to get kicked out of school... plus ruin your chances at touching a keyboard until your 18 (assuming you are younger than 18).

The GNU documentation says that this bit is set when the stream is "unusable". Presumably the intent is that once this bit becomes set, all bets are off on that stream forever. |
