Yeah, I hear you, life is not fair ... what can you do. I became better with my lack of ability to concentrate with lots of practice, still do dumb algebraic errors though .
But seems like you a bright person (guy?).
EDIT: grades aren't everything, a lot of experienced people here will tell you that as well.

My undoing is also my plus point. I'm dyspraxic, so although I have problems with simple things like working out which is left or right, I seem to be able to perform algebra and complete logic problems without too much thought. That is until today. I don't seem to be able to concentrate on anything which is why that problem earlier caused so much of a headache.

Grades definately aren't everything, I'll agree with you there. I had to explain to an IT chap at work how to fix a problem on my PC. It took him three days to get to our office and despite the fact that I knew exactly how to fix the problem they wouldn't allow me to do it. The IT guy had a piece of paper saying that he had done a certain course in computing; I didn't.

What also annoyed them was that whilst trying to demonstrate the problem on their "ultra-secure" systems I got to a DOS command prompt in a few mouse clicks. That's the result of paying guys with qualifications rather than guys who actually understand how computers work.

wow... until now I thought I was defective somehow, I am actually the same way, funny coincidence. Is that what it's called? dyspraxic?

That would be someone like me I don't have much experience outside of books/theories and school projects .... yet.
Now I feel intimidated.

This is not lounge or introductions thread, but welcome to the forums!

EDIT: and if you have any more math questions, post away, brother!

Ah... another guy suffering through his A Levels. I've just finished AS myself. Don't believe I've seen you around before, so welcome to the forums. Keep a close eye on your cheese.

A-Levels were a long long time ago, I was just trying to remember what I was taught during them.

Back to the original problem, if anyone tries to use the above just remember to convert from degrees to radians first. I thought it was working fine until i realised that one degree moved it a huge amount...

Actually we do them later than your generation, leaving at 18. AS (first year) is easier than the old A-Levels, but A2 is far harder, much closer to degree level.
