He doesn't exactly "hack", or even progress into the lowest rungs of script kiddie h4x0r ski77s.
Tricking a psychologically disadvantaged telnet server into launching a few missiles just demonstrates shoddy coding.
And that's not mentioning the numerous trivial plot holes which I will proceed to enumerate...


* When they launch the F-16s the picture shown is of an F-15.
* Speech Synthesising was not available until the mid '90s
* The colour of David's shirt continually changes in various scenes
* David types without touching the keyboard
* His dog can bark without moving its mouth
* The propeller plane sound effect is clearly that of a jet Engine
* The missile code is JPE 1704 TKS but later reads CPE 1704 TKS
I will be happy to telegram a list of these and other glaring factual errors upon request.

I hadn't noticed any of those glaring flaws. :eek: Now you make me want to watch it again with a keen eye. I saw a movie once where someone was typing on the keyboard, the monitor showed what was being typed, but the electrical plug was clearly visible lying on the floor -- unplugged!
