Be warned that CGI is much slower than running it as an apache module as people do with mod_php. You could use mod_python (http://www.modpython.org/) if the host has it.

thanks guys. But overall, do u think its a good idea to do CGI with python which i kinda know, or learn PHP/perl just to make it more standard? or does it not matter too much? and (maybe i'm asking too many questions...) could someone explain the difference between CGI and apache!
