ThunderVB

Well, I'm no VB programmer but I just found out about this Vb6 extention you guys would probably like.

ThunderVB.

It's an extremely cool little VB6 mod that allows you to use Assembly, AND C code inside your applications. It's extremely neat looking and I think a lot of you who know C and/or Assembly will really like it for use in your scripts.

That's pretty damn funky. It's a shame I don't use VB any more, really.

Yeah... I think this is relatively standard stuff in VB .NET

Some people hate change. Also familiarity with what they're working with I suppose. Look at C and C++.

Hmm but...erm there's no comparison. C and C++ are *different* languages. VB6 and VB.NET are different IDE's. Seriously, the only thing that's better about VB6 is the credits box.

Honestly I've never even looked VB, but I've seen some posts to that effect. The point with the C/C++ example is that you can pretty well do anything with either language, it's a matter of preference. But C++ was built from C, so while they are different, they're also similar.

Why can't VB have a plethora of amazingly good inventive spin off projects? Mono's really C# and Gambas has a blue piece of sushi.

Because VB sucks? :p

It's simple - both Visual Basic and Delphi don't have the "prestige" that C# and Java do - they're considered kiddyish.
