Just to verify (boss wants to make sure I know what I'm talking about- do I?): in a site set up with frames (yeah, i know- I didn't do it) you cannot search text in any non-main frame. Like, Ctl+F or Edit > Find. Right? She wants to be able to search text in the far-left frame.

I thought you just had to right click on the frame you wanted...
