Well, the short cut does the same thing, the DOS windows opens and I canīt close it unless I do it by myself...

hipolito: In that case, you aren't running a true Windows program. What happens if you just double-click on the EXE?

Yup - it's not a true Windows program. How many Windows apps do you know that pop up a DOS window on startup? In whatever IDE you're using, create a new project and set it to Win32 instead of the Console. If you're using a command-line compiler, look for a Win32 flag.
