online colleges are alright, just be carful on which one that you choose.
Also, most companys don't really care where you go, just as long as you have it.

i have no experience with such matters. i just asked my boss what he thought. I haven't even graduated highschool yet :-P (yes i am 22). But i will have to probably enroll in one of these on-line schools because i'll have to keep working at my job the whole way through.

I would not recommend an online college. A lot of people do not respect any degree offered by these schools and your education is probably going to be second-rate. Go to a traditional college and make sure to get an internship to get some experience.

I'm a software engineer... good choice
![]() I went to a traditional university for my BS degree. If you wanted to get your degree online, make sure that the college is ACCREDITED. If it isn't your degree isn't worth the paper its written on. University of Phoenix advertises their online programs alot, but I never looked into it. I wouldn't enroll in ANY college that did not have a physical campus.

i agree with IR. online is ok if there's a REAL uni backing it up. personally i'm going to a real school cuz i need all the help i can get with CS. if it was just an info systems degree or something it would be different, but we're talking about hard-core shit here. plus a lot of people go to school out-of-state.
