Were you loading mod_php5 instead of mod_php4?

actually I think it's the other way arround. I downloaded the zipped distrubution of PHP5, and then just wrote over top of the old PHP4 directory with the new files. I didn't even think about changing anything in the .conf files. I'm pretty sure that's where I screwed up.

I'm very close to using the 'FI' method on my ard disk to get rid of that damn DSO exploit!

i cant get rid of my DSO expliot, everytime spybot runzs it finds it, so i dont use IE anyways so it wont affect me to much.

Neither do I, I use Y Browser and it still messes things up.

I FDisk'd my C drive last night and so far the problem seems to have gone. However, DSO is still there, but I think everyone has it on their computer but for most people it's inactive. I think?

oh and to the 'FI' response to errors, there is also the '3 fingert salute' Ctrl+Alt+Del
