How far is Java and C# related.

I have heard that C# is a Micro$oft's product and is moreorless closer to Java. Is C# development to java or java with just new kind of syntax.

Does learning C# become easier once one has learnt Java?

Well, they do resemble very much. In the end it's all down to the object oriented principals. If u have those down, C# shouldn't be a problem to learn.

Java and C# are so similar, that it's put .NET and JDK users at each others throats.

That should give you the general idea.

To be honest, I'm not that great at either, but before I evem knew c# existed. I used Java, and never got anything to compille, so since then, I've loved C# now that I'm actually studying it.

Hell, I wouldn't have even tried C# if it were for Element and your enthusiasm with the langauge.
