Helloes!
My problem is, that I am looking for a DOS compiler that is ... SMALL!! Around 5-7 megs. My usual compiler is djgpp, which me luvs. But in the basic "development kit" zip is rather big. around 8 megs - all the free space I have is around 9 megs, its on me IBM PS 50, with a total 20 megs hdd. The DR DOS is taking 1\2 of the space if I am not mistaken. CHKDSK says 8,521,728 bytes free. All that I want from my compiler is compiling and linking, the rest of the gadgets I dont want. Basically I dont really know what files to take away from the standard djgpp bunch, certainly the gcc and the include´s I want to keep. If any djgpp guru could point some vital-organ files that I certainly need? I just want my IBM dinosaur feel like a real comp, with a compiler and everything ThANKs!

Tiny C Compiler -- http://fabrice.bellard.free.fr/tcc/ -- that's about all I can point you to. As far as header files, they shouldn't be too large... try and make a best guess as to which ones to take out
Also, you might want to look into UPX and/or gzip to gain some space there. |

At some point you have to realise that it's time for an upgrade, when some are running with 300GB hard-drives and you have about 1/1536 of that, there is an issue.
