You will be working with the windows TAPI/MAPI API... look it up. If you are using DOS or Linux console you will need to look into direct serial communication with your modem... in both cases you need to know the incoming call code for your modem, and I do not remember what that is.. been a long time since I actually used HyperTerminal. Installing Windows 98 and playing with HyperTerminal, or a program that works like HyperTerminal will probably give you a lot of insight into what needs to actually be done.
