ok, i want is so that you can't close the batch file without hitting like [ctrl]+[alt]+[shift]+[Q] or something like that. I know you can put the break=off so you can't use ctrl shift c but that doesn't seem to work with windows XP. Anyone know of the alternative? I'd also like to know if anyone knows of a reall good batch file guide that has all the hidden stuff help doesn't tell you and examples that are actually useable and not stupid things. Oh 1 more question. Is there a command to make your computer internally beep? I know that for most computers if you use the [ctrl]+[anykey]+[anykey] then hit enter (or run the batch file) it can make your computer beep just because of the error but is there a real command for this?
Wow, that was long, any help at all would be helpful Did i put this in the wrong section? i think i did, sorry. If i did i'll move it or something. Last edited by Skinner; Mar 11th, 2005 at 1:37 PM. |

Hey, if you get bored with Batch files, I recommend reading up about bash or any other Unix shell. Shell scripting is so much more fun: Unix shells do everything you wished Batch files could, and then some.

Why a batch file? Plan on turning it into a COM?
