nope.
MySQL has a builtin table where users are created and granted privileges on the database and such. Check this out... http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/adding-users.html

OK, I think I know what's wrong, I've logged in with root, and a certain pwd, and I'm able to create dbs and stuff, but when I try to grant privleges to a new acct, for a db, I get a error syntax, because of the semicolon.
Anybody know why? Arch
