beginer help with a database
Ok this may be very basic but hopefully you'll take the time to answer.
I have a project I've been given to work on as I learn php. I was given a partially completed database writen in php to finish. I want to start working on it but can't figure out how to set it up right. The files were e-mailed to me from the original creator and made with his info. How can I add this to mySQL? I keep getting errors every time I try to connect. I added the database to mySQL but it won't run. Is this some problem in how it was made or with what I am doing? Oh and I don't think I know enought to do a whole lot with it yet but I am wanting to start using what has been made of it so I can get an idea of what was wanted. |

uhm, you'll need to be mor specific on what errors you're getting. search google for 'php database tutorials' and read up on it. it's tought to tell you what you're doing wrong, when i really have no idea what you're actually doing, post back with more specific details, and i'll be eager to help ya out.
