renaming files in order of selection
hi,
i need to rename a list of files, in order of selection. the files need to be renamed in order of selection: if i select 3 files: the first will be named file001, the second file002 and so on... with the name being chosen by the user, with the number padding added onto the end... i hope someone can help me out??? your help would be appreciated ![]() cheers ![]() |

selection by who? the user? I'm not sure what you're intending to do, do you have any code? So we can see where you are.

hey by selecting i mean the user will select each file from the windows ui, but i dont know windows programming, so dont know where to start... :\
i suppose u will need a handle to the windows selction list... but from there i dont know... i dont have any code yet... thanks ![]() |
