New to C. How do I start?
I'm pretty new to C, and am at a loss as to where to start. I do have previous experience in programming. I learned the rudimentaries of BASIC, but was bored so got a book on Assembly. I've taught myself most of assembly, so does anyone have any good books I can sink my teeth on?

I suggest Herbert Schildt's Teach Yourself C.

Since you already have experience, especially with assembly language, you should have no trouble picking up C from The C Programming Language by Kernighan and Ritchie. As a second book I would recommend C Unleashed by Richard Heathfield and a collection of authors.

just follow the tutorials on the web, once you have read a couple of those i'm positive you have no trouble at all writing programs in C since you already have experience..
try very basic. or try here. hope this helps.

There are a pratically infinte number of good C/C++ books available from your local bookstore, just look through them. Even the Sam's teach yourself C/C++ in 24 hours is a really good start (though unattainable goal unless you are a genious, or a very dedicated reader with a good amount of experience programing with similar languages already).
