php bin?
OK guys. I have been using php for about 2 1/2 years now and I'll like to think I have a good understanding of the language. It's impimentation however, is another story all together.
Obviously I can upload my .php files to my site and use them as I wish, but for a project that's coming up I need to be able to have scripts that will be executed by a cron that can't be executed by normal users so I have been advised to put the script in my php-bin. My host allows a cgi-bin is that what I need or what do I need to do? I'm very confused an the online tings I've read don't help, neither do the five books sitting on my shelf. So I appealing for knowledge from anyone who could point me in the right direction. Please. Ade

that would be a server site directive. your server would need a directory with all the features of cgi-bin but named php-bin. contact your host, or just stick the files in cgi-bin..
