Programmers Urgently Needed!
We at Zebra Design Studio are seeking programmers for our game that is currently in development.
A bit about the project: Set in the medieval times, this will be the first Online FPS game of it's category. Players will engage in combat in different game modes, and will have melee and ranged weapons. There will be an online ranking system, and players will also be able to play with their friends, over a LAN. There will be a few different chracters to choose from on each team. And there will be a variety of maps for players to play on. We are looking for some programmers with advanced C++ knowledge. Programmers will eventually have to learn DirectX, unless you already know it . If you would like to learn more about our project, please contact me at troyeisert@gmail.com or visit our forums http://zebradesigns.afraid.org/forums/index.php Last edited by troy_eisert; Feb 7th, 2005 at 10:59 PM. |

Well I am located in Canada, near Vancouver B.C. Some of our timezones are very different, but the members will stay up very late so they can talk in the meetings

EDIT: Okay, I decided what I wrote before was way too insulting, and as I didn't mean to flame anyone I took it out. I will offer this advice: Do something less difficult than a 3D FPS game as a first project, especially since your "lead programmer" has only 6 months of experience.

I saw your other post, its in my email inbox. In regards to that we are not programming in both DirectX and OpenGL.... You must have misunderstood what was on the forums. And tempest does sware alot.... And I am not the lead programmer...
edit: btw another programmer joined. He has 4 years experience with C++ and 3 years with DirectX. Our lead programmer doesn't have to be the best ![]() edit2: maybe we are doing it both openGL and directx.... no idea I'm not a programmer (yet). I suggest you just go with OpenGL. Forget DX.

open gl enables you to port it to linux and macOS therefor giving your project a wider scope.
