Help

Where should I start to try to learn programming. i am a very fast learner.

Should I buy a book? Research online?

How long should I expect to get reasonably fluent on something like this?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

depends how much time you have, you can start with a scripting language like PHP www.php.net. It's not always about the learning. Some people don't do as well with programming as others, it's the structured thinking. But it's defeinity rcommended to buy a book, there are many out there, and what language would depend on what your interests and needs are.
