Smile Does any body know how to detect and remove shadow on a .ppm picture?

Does any body know how to detect and remove shadow on .ppm picture by simply writing a c program? Can you tell me all possible methods? Thanks!

There's no possible way to remove shadow "simply" unless you want to just remove the gray out of a picture. And it that case, your sister who likes to wear gray gets mostly cut out of the picture and here head is floating in the middle of her and the 3 stooges because of the filter.
