If you were planning to open-source it, and I had the time, I might have thought about it. As it is, I doubt you'll find people willing to work on a closed-source project for nothing.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
I would imagine some would, as it is a decent opportunity. However, I've been thinking about making it an open source project. Thats only if I can close it later once it reaches v3.0 or something like that. Is that possible? |

No, because by then someone will have made a spin-off of your project (assuming it's good). As soon as you close it, everyone'll go over to the other side.

hey dude, i'm not dissing your idea or anything, cuz i think it's cool. a lot of media players suck ass nowadays like "quicktime" (which is like watching or listening to something while licking a donkey scrotum) or "realplayer" (which is like being in hell and having to listen to ashlee simpson's REAL voice singing your favorite songs), but have you considered the following?...
honestly most people are more comfortable with a site that will use a media player already installed on their system. there is no way in hell that i would go to some music site and try to download some file that contained "god-knows-what" just to listen to music. (actually i would cuz i'm a dumbass and a free-software-whore [actually i'm a genius and not afraid to wipe my hard drive at the drop of a hat] ). if this ever gets off the ground, send me an email at: bhancock4@msn.com and i'll check out your stuff. take it easy dude. can you tell i'm fucking nuts?
