hello

So i am a complete newbie in the world of programming, i am completely interested though with programming. my dilema is that i really dont know where to start i have most of the basics down but want to take things further start actually building programs any help would be greatly appreciated......

I have the basic knowledge of simple programs math programs displaying programs some knowledge of functions (very basic) and arrays as well. OOP i am completely lost. and i would like to design all of the above games apps, scripts, that may be my first problem i would like to be able to maybe be a jack of all trades and a master at one.....

i think you should first make yourself strong in basics like data tyes before trying advanced stuff like game apps and all! Make your oop concept all clear all you will get lost in all the oop languages like c++, java, c#, PHP etc. So make sure you are 100% clear about each basic concept of oop.

You can check out Microsoft's visual centre to see how the different (free) express versions look like and what they can do...

Otherwise just read some of the older posts in the forum as this question has been asked before and you can just read through the reply's to get a good idea where to start from
