Most of the Windows programs I make are just console apps, no UI or anything. I typically use C#, and sometimes VB.NET. At work I use VB.NET quite a bit, but we use it to write automation "programs" (more like scripts, in a way). I also spend some time playing with ASP.NET and I'm looking at Silverlight 2 as well (again, C# and VB) for web development. At least, those are what I've been using most for the past year.
