vbscript and winmgmts
I'm using a cookbook vbscript that contains the line:
vbscript Syntax (Toggle Plain Text)
It runs fine except on "generic" computers who don't have rights to edit the registry. Is there a way to elevate the rights within the script for those pcs, with or without hardcoding logins. Or is there a way to give rights to edit the registry without giving access to the registry on WinXP? |

Re: vbscript and winmgmts
Ok, I'm not hacking anything, this is a script handed to us by our Corporate partners to fix a problem, that they obviously copy and edited from a cookbook, because I found an almost identical script on a public tech website.
If I made no sense with my questions, it's because I'm not familiar with vbscripting, but was asked by the system admin to try to fix it to work with generic logins because I know VB and since I know VB then I know VBscripting as well. After looking at MSDN for the last 8 hours, I can see it's gonna take a little time to learn vbscripting myself. |
