Is it possible to run asp.net code on apache. I tried doing so, by placing the file into the htdocs folder. But the code doesnot run, and loads as it is into the browser.

It probably won't run as well on apache as it does on IIS but it is possible to get it to run. But you need the right modules installed. I believe that url will get it working on a windows machine. If you want to get it working on a linux machine then try here.

It is suppose to work but I don't know how well as I haven't tried it. The windows version should work pretty good though.

I installed one of the mods for apache. But it doesnot work.

Well, i just wanted it to be done this way, because apache ( when running) has the facility to run a site, required it is placed in htdocs.

Now if i run a asp.net file, i can run it only through visual studio. It doesnot run alone. ( Actually, i wanted to make my file "list.aspx" as active desktop. But it doesnot run, and shows webpage not found error, when run without visual studio. )
