Talking Hello ProgrammingForums

Hi All,

Just a quick intro about myself. I have only just discovered ProgrammingForums and it looks like a cool site.

My story goes something like this. I have always been interested in computers, and have tinkered for as long as I can remember. Then one day I had a midlife crisis and decided that an agricultural advisor was not the career for me. After serveral years of juggling a job, a relationship and a self imposed regime of programming study, I managed to score a job as a programmer / system's analyst with a national transport company. I have been at this now for 2 years and have not looked back. My only regret is that I did not do this sooner.

Although at work I code for VB.NET 2005 and T-SQL , I love playing with all languages so this forum is ideal for me.

My words of advise for anybody considering a programming as a career is, go for it. Anything is possible as long as you have the passion and dedication to do it.

Ok. I'll stop ranting now.

Re: Hello ProgrammingForums

Hi itgalary

I have always found forums like this to be helpful as they can offer suggestions that you never thought of. I don't like forums where the answers are given to you I like helpful guidance that sets you on the right track. The best way to learn is to do it yourself.

Kind Regards

ScottyB
