Zend Certification
Hi All,
I am a Zend Certified Engineer. I did it for PHP 4. Now I am going to appear for the same for PHP 5. I would like to know how useful it would be and some tips to clear it. Sanjay Aggarwal |

Re: Zend Certification
<disclaimer>This is personal opinion from a person who hired many engineers.</disclaimer>
Certifications mean nothing to me. Certainly not a second certification in the same subject. If I need a person with a history of performance, I will look to that history. It better be verifiable. If I can make do with a person who has merely studied the subject, I will look for quantifiable results of that study that suggest successful time spent in that endeavor. Certifications often suggest that a person who is good at taking tests has merely crammed some directed knowledge into their gray matter, without any real ability to perform. Certifications are merely an adjunct. In that role, they serve a useful purpose.
