Best of luck with the changes. Although most don't know me here, I read this site a LOT. I just hope there aren't any drastic changes or any core member exoduses. Only thing I wish out of this forum would be more activity.

Let's be straight here. When I joined this forum there was no technical content. It was a place for teeny boppers to learn to curse, and to indulge their sexual fantasies.

In an attempt to redirect the focus, I managed to bring on board a few contributors who were far more expert than I. I also earned myself the reputation of being a curmudgeonly old bastard.

This worked for a while. Eventually, the sorry, useless, puerile members drove away the true contributors.

How, precisely, does the change in management intend to address this fatal flaw?

I don't have to point you to site statistics. Well, I hope I don't. Read 'em and weep.

The only thing I can say is don't change it to much. Sure you may run it and you may support it, but in the end it should be up to us as to how it should be and how it works. I think we are pretty happy with how everything is, with our rough edge people and our little ones who are still trying to understand OOP. Don't change it to much, we like it the way it is. At least let us have the option to keep it the way it is.

I'd also like to add that daniweb seems to be to open to little ones, I was looking at a few posts and they all want the easy answers, they don't know how to ask questions. They want the code they don't want to learn why they should do it this way or that. They don't want to understand the problem. It's like in math, when the teacher gives you the equation rather than you figuring it out.

I just want to interject for a moment and say that it is my goal to keep the climate and culture of the existing PFO community intact.

I really don't see what everyone is complaining about especially since the culture of PFO will remain mostly the same, advertising will be limited, and javascript will not be heavily employed.

In new management situations, change is imminent. If later we find something we don't like, there is a suggestions forum for that. Just my 2 cents...

BTW: Good luck with your life Big_k and thanks for all the hard work you put in here.
