Interesting. But it looks like it's released under a "read-only" license, which makes it somewhat dangerous to read. If you don't download the source, and then happen to write a piece of code that's similar to some lines in the .NET code, then it can be attributed to be a coincidence. If you do download the source, you'd better be sure that you don't contribute anything code to an open source project that looks similar to any code in the .NET libraries, otherwise Microsoft might decide to bring a copyright infringement case against you.

Yeah, the offer is a bit too good to be true, I don't think microsoft would do this without some limits.

Considering that, I think it would be safer not to download it. Microsoft would do anything to extend its control of the programming world, or just exploit it.
