hello
i am quite new to this stuff, i have learned the basics of creating software. i need help with making my program open something like notepad and deleting files if anyone can help it would be quite good thanks |

If you are just starting to learn pascal, I would recommend something simpler than a GUI text editor - although I know Delphi makes it quite easy, it's still better to learn one thing at a time. I would start with basic console I/O.

If you are programming for the real world you would be better of using Delphi. Why not start with the freebie version? You can get it here http://cc.codegear.com/free/delphi.
