Some of the free webhosts that provide some nicer features (such as no bandwidth restrictions, unlimited server space, no ads) don't offer databases (or they do but they're very small). Every free webhost is different. I'm not trying to tell people what webhost to choose. I'm trying to program something which will work across them all. If you like SQL and want to make a program that runs on SQL then by all means. That doesn't mean I'm going to be changing mine. Believe it or not before the dawn of the SQL database people did what I did as barbaric as that may seem.

There are always bandwidth and server space restrictions, even if they say there aren't any
![]() I can see it as a personal challenge, but not as something that's very practical in the real world. Flat-files quickly get very bulky and cumbersome to deal with. Anyways, with your problem, several possible solutions were posted here, so try some of those and post how it goes. |
