Question Vista Sound Driver Issues (Creative Cards)

The Story.....
_____________________________________________

So I was going to format since I just recently build a new file server and was able to do a lot of cleaning on my personal desktop. So I was like, why not Vista? It looks good and I could use a little pretty in my Windows.

Bad idea.

So everything installed great, installed smooth, looks better than I ever thought.

But wait.... No startup sounds, cant play my mp3's cant watch my dvds.... Well that isnt good, I suppose I need to just update my Creative Drivers. I have a MSI K8N Diamond Plus (Link to MSI) motherboard with an onboard Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE Chip, pretty neat, kind of.

Creative being the amazing company they are dont even have the product listed on their site, nor does looking up the chipset model help me. So I check MSI and they have the old original Windows XP Driver.

Well lucky for me I have a PCI Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Card, how cool. So I uninstall my drivers for the onboard, restart, disable in my BIOS, load Vista, turn it off and install the PCI card. I then turn on my desktop and it sees there is a card and it tries to load the drivers for it, I tell it where to go and it accepts them. So I think everything is good.

Wrong.

If I dont use scroll bars in anything or max or min any windows the sound is good, but if I do the sound slows down to about half of its normal speed and has a nice static sound added.

The Question
_____________________________________________
So I'm wondering if anyone has an answer for me for these questions:

A) Other than the BETA Drivers on Creative Site any driver ideas?

B) Any good Sound Card that works in Vista that is under $70? (I Dont want to send more than that on a $%^ing sound card.)

** I know there are a lot of people out there that want to just tell me, uninstall Vista, but I'd like to make it work so if you have nothing postive to contribute here, please keep it to yourself and maybe share it with a friend. Thanks.

My Intel HD Sound whatever does not work in Vista either.

I used my plantronics dsp500 usb headphones and it recognized them immediately. I have to use headphones to listen to stuff, but I guess I don't really care. By the way, these headphones are as good as having speakers. It is a little obnoxious bringing them everywhere with my laptop now, though.

Harakim the reason for that is those headphones are usb and therefore become their own sound device.

I also have and love my set of DSP500 Headhpones, just wanna becable to use my sound card and real speakers... someday Creative will work on drivers I know it.
