I want to work on a basic AI communication program that can develop relationships with its user, learn, and develop a personality. But before i even write a line I like to do research on a topic. So does anyone have any pages of AI experimentation that they have tried, or read any links would be appreciated. All part of my goal to recreate the Emergency Medical Hologram (To bad i don't have Kess to help me )

Check out LISP, if you haven't already. If you want strictly C/C++ on AI, there are a couple of books. One is Neural Networks and Fuzzy Logic Applications In C/C++ by Welstead, and another is Artificial Intelligence Using C by Schildt, both good books. I don't really know any good sites on the internet, so I can't help you there. Sorry.

I'm not looking for any books that are code specific. My favorite thing when doing reseach on something is to read things by people who have ideas how it should work, but aren't familiar with computer programming at all. Because then you don't just ideas around what someone concieves as possible, but what someone concieves as practical. I'll decide what is possible

i know this isnt what you wanted but there is some ai stuff there. if you look i know it is language specific but i didnt go thru it so it mite not be actually telling you how to code ai wich in the one i did glance at i didnt see any code so i think it is just about theories and stuff but not sure
