Software developement for wireless devices...
What I currently have installed on my computer:
Java Development Kit 1.6.0 Java Run-time Environment 1.6.0 NetBeans IDE 5.5 I just started learning Java yesterday. I'm experience in C++ and Action-Script 2.0 so I already know the basics of handlers, listeners, methods, objects, classes, ect. I want to start developing software for my Motorola i870, which has a Java 2 Micro Edition platform. What do I need to install on my computer? Can I use NetBean's IDE to write my code in? Is the code for the j2me platform written differently than that for the JRE? Can I use the compiler that came in jdk1.6.0? Anyone have a site that will teach me the basics (like how to install my applications on the phone)?
