xmlbeans xml sample instance from schema

I am looking for a way to use xmlbeans to programatically generate a sample xml instance by using the generated types jar that is created from using the scomp tool. Has anyone done this before? I think it has something to do with the SchemaType class but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.
