Rep Power: 5 Sane will become famous soon enough
The most obvious thing I'd say is it needs to have vertical direction to keep things consistent.

Then you should also make a graphical banner, with darker colors than the original color scheme, that stretches the entire width (on any resolution).

That will keep you busy for now.

Well, the most generous forums allow 150X150 for subscribed members. I'd say about 100X100 would be good.

I agree with DaWei on a couple of points. The left side is way too busy. Moving that stuff to the bottom might look a bit better. The firefox logo is way too big. I, also, don't like the gray background. Sane's suggestion looks much better to me. I like the look of the buttons but the white buttons on a white background just doesn't look good to me. Maybe just a little color to set them apart would improve the overall look. Not really anything more than what's been said. At this point not really a terrible looking site, but with the suggestions presented I think it'll be a pretty good looking one. Best of luck with it.

Sanes suggestion looks like an improvement, it makes it more uniform and it just looks tidier to me.

You'll also notice that when you switch pages the left-side content jumps when reloading and then settles down (sometimes in a new position). I would tend to make those score boxes textual, rather than images, though the box could include a logo image if desired.

I was about to say the navigation looks nice like macromedia.com. Then I checked macromedia.com to check it hadn't changed since they had been bought by Abode. And it just linked to Adobe.com and the navigation their is dreadful in Firefox. The dropdowns don't work because of a stupid advert which is in front of the menus.
