I suppose it's just really little nuances in interpretation when people say such things.

You're right, DaWei, but all you've proven is that C++ was a bad example. Try writing a graphical program with Brainfuck, for example, which is quite Turing-complete.

It's quite possible to write a graphical program in Brainfuck. Graphics are nothing special; it's just a case of setting bits on the appropriate output. You seem to be confusing capability with access.

Now, one could argue that a specific interpreter or compiler doesn't allow you to do X, Y or Z, but that's all implementation and access rights. It doesn't have anything to do with the language itself.

I wasn't 'proving' anything. I was pointing out incorrect assertions. Whether they were reached by fallacious reasoning, by mismatch of words and concepts, or by some other method, is of little consequence.

Gambas is used in Suse for vb apps. I have made a few in it. But RB sucks dont learn it. If you know vb vb.net isnt that hard to transfer to and as bigk said mono does that. But I think Mono is still only C# and not vb.net yet....but th are workign on it. But Yeah Gambas is used for vb and it comes with Suse soI'm sure you can find it downloable for other distros, and there might be a Windows dl you can find so you don;t have to have linux to develop in it.
