The Forum heading says nothing about this forum being limited to programming only topics.

But I would like to point out that any LCD monitor below 20 inches is going to be quite portable, you have to remember that these things are a lot lighter and thinner than CRT screens. Also, You may want to consider getting a better power supply than that. If this is really designed to be a portable desktop then the power drain doesn't really matter and you should go ahead and get a decent one.

Also remember, that because the case is so thin, you're going to have a hard time getting full size drives to fit in there, and if you decide to go with mini ones, you will have to order slimline/ 2.5 inch to IDE converters.

Another thing to consider is that you will have to buy a low power/ low heat processor, due to the fact that the heatsink for that thing will have to be small.

I suggest something like this instead:

www.programmingforums.org. I have no quarrel against hardware guys -- I are one.

hardware is just so much simpler...even the amazing modifications to hardware take basic knowledge of capacitors and resistors in my experience like voltmodding graphics cards to make em take more volts and run faster

I don't really see the point of this computer... either buy a laptop, or buy one of those really small cases with a monitor, both are already potable enough, and both are good enough to play games.

And as DaWei has pointed out and hinted at, this is no programming topic and maybe should be moved. Just because it doesn’t specifically say it had to be a programming topic, this is a programming forum so it's kind of implied. Maybe move it to the Lounge, unless you’re making custom software for this computer and will be discussing that.

If you sold it for 1400 you wouldn't make any money

ummm... because a laptop is expensive and if he does this right then he could have a good computer for less than 500$
