I have seen a couple solutions to this problem but none have worked so far.

now does it make a difference that I am using WAMP server instead of having just configured the php and mysql by hand. It worked yesterday now today nothing.

MySQL doesn't appear to be enabled for your PHP install. Perhaps the MySQL PHP API dlls have been misplaced?

well how can i put them back.

i just backed up all my files in my localhost directory, phpmyadmin directory, and mysql directory and reisntalled WAMP so that it would overwrite my php settings and extensions and it worked.
