Sorry you don't find the pyparsing docs to be more helpful. I've put more effort into code examples (I think there are about 20 examples now), based on experience that programmers generally prefer sample code to documentation. The pyparsing release also includes epydoc-generated reference doc files, UML class diags, and copies of my 2 PyCon presentations. I've got an article on ONLamp (trying to get time to write more), plus numerous postings on comp.lang.python with more examples. There's a pyparsing wiki at http://pyparsing.wikispaces.com, including open-to-the-public feedback and tips pages. I'm wide open to new ideas, suggestions, submissions, etc.

You can still consider this "sparse", but I do want to make sure you are aware of what all is out there. Unfortunately, pyparsing doesn't pay like my day job, so it has to take a back seat once in a while.

I found this article very helpful as an introduction to pyparsing.
http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/python/2...pyparsing.html

I think there is enough documentation to get started with.

Ah, much more succinct, and the project is much easier to navigate than when I last looked into it. Cheers :-)
