Wild birds of prey come with hunting skills already programmed per say into them. It's the same phylosiphy whith tigers. If you have a pet tiger, the tiger's natural instinct is to attack things so it may attack you. The same thing applies to birds like the eagle...

Unless, of course, the eagle is young and can be trained not to attack a human... But I don't think a adult bald eagle would just up and attack a human if you were respecting it and leaving it alone. Could be wrong though, the most bird experience I've had is with my cockatiel. :p

Would an eagle attack a human? You misunderstood my post, You can train a tiger to like humans but the chance is still there that the tiger will attack something that he wants to play with or eat... The instincs remain in the animal and they will not forget them no matter how much training you put into them...

Birds are pretty smart. I used to have an ecclectes parrot. I was about to say that it didn't attack me so I think it can overcome insticts, however it did regularly attack cats. I think they are right, you'd better sleep with one eye open.
