Learning

I want to start learning Python, but I know really nothing about it. What do I need as far as a compilier or IDE goes? What do I use to put my code in?

Python can be downloaded from here. There's a tutorial here, and a book here.

Hopefully that's some information to be going on with :)

Ok thanks

I didn't like the IDLE that came with my download, so I grabbed Boa Constructor. That satisfied me, at least momentarily. Strictly personal opinion; I did no search/collection/comparison exercise for everything available.

Personally, I'm quite liking ActivePython ( http://www.activestate.com/Products/ActivePython/ ).
